DESCRIPTION: I did these two lamps using the lead-came technique that is generally used in window construction. The bottom rims of the shades are of cobalt cathedral glass while the "windows" in the base are of a butterscotch opal. The bodies of the lamps are made of Purple Heart wood, Bocote, Maple and Walnut. I used inlay strips to decorate the bases. Each shade weighs about 20 pounds!
